The Wetrooms Online WetBase® Linear Universal wet room floor / shower base is an easy to install, linear level access ‘walk in shower’ floor tray.

This tray comes complete with a McAlpine fast flow drain, stainless steel grill, which when reversed is fully tileable to match the surrounding floor. 

Optional  Jackoboard 5kg liquid based (no mixing required) tanking kit for waterproofing the shower area walls and floor, or a complete Tanking, Fixing & Sealing Kit for fixing the WetBase, waterproofing the floor and walls in addition to sealing the perimeter of the tray where it meets the wall / surrounding floor, are available at a discounted price when purchased with the tray and drain.

An optional Matte Black grill cover (non-reversible / non tileable) is also available.

The WetBase® Linear Universal tray kit is the UK’s first true linear drain system with the drain trough bonded in to the tray in the factory which eliminates installer error and maintains 100% waterproofing capability when installed correctly. The position of the drain exit is determined by the installer on site as the drain is cut into the trough by the user (circular bit supplied) and thus can avoid joists or support beams. It can be used in wooden floors and concrete sub-floors.

The base of the tray is totally flat and is installed onto the wooden joists in the normal manner with support between the joists. It has an adjustable drain and channel cover to accommodate various tile heights. We recommend a tile thickness of NO less than 10mm, the tray can be tiled with large format tiles or mosaics, the latter being easier to follow the contours of the tray.

Installation can be conducted by any competent DIY person or professional fitter, and as the drain trough is already installed into the tray, it cuts down on install time and the possibility of installer error.

If you have a concrete floor or if there is no access under the flooring to locate the shower drain, then the tray can still be used by using a separate raised substrate.

Drain Channel Cover – Options

Fully Reversible & Tileable Stainless Steel Drain Cover: The upside of the stainless steel drain cover is a brushed stainless-steel finish, if you prefer to tile the drain cover to match the surrounding floor, simply turn it over and tile to match. The drain channel is a fixed height of approx. 15mm, suitable for use with 10mm thick tiles. The height of the drain cover can be raised using the simple ‘lug’ set provided with the drain cover.

An optional Matte Black or Satin Gold (non reversible / non tileable) drain cover and surround is also available to purchase.

Important:

This tray is 30mm thick, this means that in most circumstances it will sit 10mm above the floor boards when fitted. Therefore, 10mm tile backer board* should be used to bring the remainder of the floor up to level prior to tanking and tiling.

*The thickness required may differ installation to installation, please check thickness required prior to ordering.
